Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN) Location: Redcar Salary: £87 - £108 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long Term GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant (GRAD TA) to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in schools across Redcar. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of young learners with diverse needs. Role Overview: As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN), you will work closely with students who require additional support to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. You will collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEN on a one-to-one or small group basis. Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons that meet the needs of all students. Help students build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their individual learning goals. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate. Support students during transitions and unstructured times, such as break and lunch. Requirements: A degree in any discipline (Education or related fields preferred). A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEN. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual student needs. An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
