We are a dynamic and enthusiastic team who assist with left and right heart catheterisation, angioplasties, electrophysiology studies/ablations, insertion of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), TAVIs, as well as many other procedures.
The Cath Lab and Bronchoscopy department comprises of five Cardiac Catheterisation Labs, a 6th Hybrid suite, two Bronchoscopy suites and a 10 bedded Holding Bay/Recovery area. We also provide essential care to our acute patients via our 24/7 PPCI service.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to play a key role in assisting with cardiology and radiology procedures. Working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you'll support and monitor patients, helping to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced and diverse clinical setting.

Qualifications
1. Current registration with NMC, part one or two of the register
2. Diploma in Nursing
3. Degree in Nursing
4. Teaching and assessor qualification
5. Evidence of continued professional development
6. Teaching or mentoring qualification e.g. Mentorship Preparation Course or equivalent
Experience
1. Proven evidence-based clinical practice
2. Demonstrates reflective practice
3. Adhering to the NMC Code of Conduct and professional practice guidance
4. Good theoretical and practical knowledge of nursing within the clinical area
5. Knowledge of clinical governance and quality assurance
6. Aware of cultural and social influences on health and of the importance of respecting diversity and differences
7. Able to problem solve and use own initiative
8. Able to plan, organise and prioritise workload
9. Proven communication skills, written and oral
10. Able to support, supervise junior members of the team
11. Able to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, patients and their relatives
12. Be self-motivated
13. Have the ability to take initiative as required and able to liaise with the appropriate manager and bleep holder
14. Evidence of experience in the specialty
15. Awareness of broader issues within the Trust and the wider NHS
