Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - PPA Cover

£500-£600 Per Week (PAYE - No Umbrella Company)
New Directions is proud to be working with a primary school in Trafford that is looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to cover PPA and ECT time across the school. The ideal HLTA will work across KS1-2 - and deliver a variety of different lessons to different classes, with all planning and resources provided. The ideal HLTA will hold either a Level 3/4 qualification or be a qualified teacher looking for slightly reduced responsibilities.
Job specification:
* Teach some areas of the KS1/2 curriculum.
* Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
* Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
* Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
* Maintain discipline.
* Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil's development.
* Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
* Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
* Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
To apply the candidate must have:
* Level 3/4 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a primary teacher
* UK-based Experience
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum - and specifically EYFS Framework
* Able to provide Referees.
* An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
