The Role: As an Accounts Assistant, you'll take on a broad range of responsibilities, with around half of your time dedicated to managing customer accounts and overseeing credit control. The rest of your role will involve supporting the finance team across various areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your key tasks will include: Building positive relationships with customers to ensure timely payments and resolve queries. Monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue invoices. Recording and reconciling financial transactions, including supplier payments and bank statements. Assisting with data entry for customs and other compliance processes. Supporting month-end activities and maintaining accurate financial records. What You'll Need: At least 1 year of experience in a similar finance or accounts role. AAT qualification or actively studying (or equivalent experience). Confident using Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) Experience using D365 is also desirable but not essential A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
