DDaT are looking for a skilled and experienced person to lead our first-class team of Field Service Engineers. Working within our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department, you will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,221 (grade 7).
About the role:
This position will report to the ICT Service Delivery Manager and coordinate and undertake installation, maintenance, support and configuration of all service ICT Hardware including mission critical communications and mobilising systems. The post holder will also manage the ICT Desktop Services (being the provision of managed end user devices) and ICT Datacentre Service (being the provision and management of suitable facilities for Critical ICT systems deployment).
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual, with evidential experience supporting DSFRS hardware and mobilising systems with a passion for new technology and providing first class support. You will be able to help others develop and opportunities for your own CPD are available.
Key responsibilities of the ICT Hardware Manager role:
* To coordinate the day-to-day activities of the ICT Hardware team, ensuring adherence, where possible, to all relevant DSFRS Hardware related Service Level agreements (SLA’s).
* To liaise with 3rd party suppliers of ICT equipment, systems and services ensuring measurement and adherence to agreed SLA’s (e.g. Laptops and Mobile Data Terminals).
* To negotiate the provision of suitably skilled resources when requested by other ICT service managers to enable the ongoing delivery of their services.
* To ensure 24/7, 365 support is available for mission critical communications and mobilising systems that underpin operational response.
