Jenkins Dental Practice is expanding and we’re excited to welcome an enthusiastic and dedicated Dental Nurse to join our growing family. Our team members have been with us anywhere from 2 to 25 years, which says a lot about our positive work environment and supportive culture.
About the Position: We are looking to expand from a 3 surgery to a 4 surgery practice and need a qualified Dental Nurse with an active GDC number to join us.
Working Hours (Subject to Confirmation):
1. Monday: 8:45 am - 5:00 pm
2. Wednesday: 8:45 am - 6:00 pm
3. Thursday: 8:45 am - 6:00 pm
4. Friday: 8:45 am - 5:00 pm
Salary:
Starting from £13.63 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and responsibilities within the practice. Details will be discussed during the interview.
Start Date:
December 2024 / January 2025 onwards (flexible).

We are a family-run practice located in the heart of Street, near Clarks Village, offering private and Denplan dental care.

You will work closely with dentists, hygienists, and the reception team in a dynamic environment. As well as general dentistry our skilled team also specialises in:

Dental Nurse - Job Description
* Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate and according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions.
* Use all equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and ensure that they are maintained regularly and in good working order.
* Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available.
* Ensure the care and welfare of patients.
* Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed.
* Handle all substances in accordance with health and safety policies.
* Be familiar and comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etc.
* Develop and file radiographs electronically.
* Complete laboratory request forms, keep records of work sent, received and fitted.
* Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery.
* Ask Practice Manager to order new stock supplies as necessary.
* Ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored.
* Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records.
* Attend and participate in practice meetings.
* Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice (perhaps including the duties and tasks of receptionist as required).
* Work on reception when needed.
* Keep up to date with Practice Policies, CPD and have a Personal Development plan. All found on our compliance platform.
* Undergo training as may be required to develop skills and abilities.
* Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR.
* Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.63 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 14.5 per week
