Assistant Accountant – Grimsby - up to £30,000
Chase & Holland are working exclusively with a well-established group of companies in Grimsby, who are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to support with the management and financial accounts preparation for 2 sites. This is a profitable business that has a passion for what they do and offer great long term development opportunities.
Assistant Accountant key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly accounts for two sites
Preparation of journals, accruals & prepayments
Weekly forecasting
Prepare variance reporting actual v forecast, including reasons for variances narrative
Fixed asset register
Nominal, WIP and stock reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliations
VAT returns
KPIs and MI reporting monthly
Payroll and intercompany accounts
Requirements:
AAT qualified as a minimum or actively studying early to mid-stages CIMA/ACCA
Good foundations in an all-round accounts role covering some of the above duties and also be looking for a role and company you can grow within
Confident on excel to produce various management information reports for external parties to tight deadlines
Team player and ability to work in a close knit team
