The Role We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to manage a warehouse for a global business that supports the construction industry. You will be responsible for managing the warehouse operation to ensure the efficient and economical utilisation for storing, reconditioning and distributing finished goods. You will supervise the distribution of the product in a safe and efficient manner, whilst maintaining the warehouse, planning and scheduling functions. Managing daily work schedules to ensure on time, accurate and complete delivery of equipment is achieved and that customer requirements are met. Being involved in continuous improvement and pushing to get the product through are keys requirements of the role. How will you achieve all of this??? Have responsibility for Packers, FLT Drivers, Welders and Reconditioning Operatives Ensure the operations team adhere stringently to all site H & S rules, regulations and policies Manage the warehouse activities by monitoring productivity and daily work schedules of the operations team performing shipping, receiving, reconditioning and storage of product via pounds per man hour objectives. Ensure the warehouse workloads run at full capacity. Overseeing equipment returns and ensures accuracy and compliance within the return procedures. Prioritise and push through equipment into the reconditioning process as needed for scheduled shipments. Deal with direct shipping operations. and ensure shipment coordination with internal and external customers is achieved making adjustments where needed. Mentor, train and support new and current employees, conduct employee reviews and development and deal with disciplinary actions. Inspect materials produced to ensure quality. Ensure inventory accuracy and conduct regular inventory checks. Requirements: To be considered for this you will have the following Be an experienced Warehouse or Manufacturing Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience. Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. (Ideal but not essential) Excellent communication, problem solving, organisational, and PC skills. Be able to work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgement, and be a good negotiator. Be an excellent motivator communicator and people manager.
