The Global SMB Customer Due Diligence team are a customer & business centric team responsible for assessing all SMB customers at the point of onboarding and at regular intervals in their lifecycle ensuring that we know who the customer is, how they operate and their ownership structure. This helps to protect Worldpay and the industry from financial crime, money laundering and terrorist financing. The team is highly commercialized balancing AML risk processes with fantastic customer experience. The team is award winning and known to deliver record levels of service and we are looking for a Senior to join our growing team. What You’ll Own As a Senior and SME, you will be reviewing and evaluating cases, files and calls for new and existing Business and providing support and feedback to the wider team to ensure best in class service. You will work in collaboration with internal teams highlighting any trends and issues. You will provide input into training and process improvement work with the focus of ensuring consistency and best practice. We will look to you as a culture and change champion as we strive to achieve Worldpay’s goals of bringing greater levels of value and service to clients. Review new applications against internal risk policies. Contact customers via email, webchat, and telephone to provide additional information required to support the application. Review application data and customer correspondence to validate and verify customer information against public records and assess against internal risk criteria. Manage escalations from internal and external partners to ensure customers are boarded as quickly as possible, whilst ensuring we remain compliant. Review adverse screening checks on clients and undertake follow-up research as required. Manage personal workloads to ensure queues of work are dealt with in a timely manner. Able to investigate and resolve queries in relation to KYC. Escalate cases, and red flags, as required to Complex and Specialised Due Diligence teams for further assessment. Support your peers with their queues on a need must basis. Review opportunities for improvement in Customer data used to validate and verify records. Coach the team on any training gaps identified and give guidance on errors made. Support preparation and delivery manager reports. Assist in audit and assurance evidence gathering and remediation. Facilitate proactive collaboration between risk, compliance and Operation functions. Assist in reviewing frameworks, process documentation and training guides. What You Bring A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CDD and/or KYC role Superb diligence and an ability to apply creative problem-solving techniques and tools to compliance issues. Outstanding judgement & decision-making skills with the ability to utilize various sources and types of information to conclude an investigation and make subjective decisions based on sound rational. Strives to get things right first time, every time. Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner. Looks for efficiencies that could support your colleagues and business skills managing multiple tasks. Confidence and assurance to be able to critique work and provide feedback. Provide understanding of downstream impacts. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal communication Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and to challenge the status quo. Ability to work autonomously along with being a good team member.
