Key Responsibilities
1. Ensuring all treatment standards of presentation, service, product and hygiene meet the expected standards of a five-star international property, FORBES Travel Guide and Leading Hotels of the world.
2. Providing treatments as needed and delegate administrative, supervisory and training functions to the senior therapist team according to their specialist skills.
3. Leading a daily 10-minute pre-shift meeting to discuss the day's agenda, VIPs, and guests with special needs, conduct a grooming check, and provide mini training sessions on products or skills. Ensure that a senior therapist conducts the meeting in your absence.
4. Overseeing therapist training and ensure training records are up to date. Act as the in-house trainer for the skincare specialist product house. Aligning therapist training and development.
5. Managing and creating therapist treatment and retail commission targets, ensuring therapist productivity of treatments is at least 75% of their working day.
6. Ensuring that therapist’s rotas are created and entered into Fourth and Premier software. Managing holidays to ensure no more than one therapist is off at a time. Overseeing time and attendance through the Fourth Hospitality management system, addressing any discrepancies in clocking in and out and closing shifts daily.
7. Maintaining necessary levels of treatment stock to provide the budgeted treatments each month, with a monthly stock take and proposed monthly order for professional stock for the Assistant Spa Manager to authorise and order through the Procure Wizard system.
8. Assisting in recruiting, motivating and maintaining team of spa professionals. Recognise and reward high performance.
Key Skills, Qualities & Experience
1. Recognized Beauty qualification, Level 3 NVQ Beauty or equivalent, and massage.
2. Minimum of five years of experience working as a Therapist with supervisory responsibilities in a spa.
3. Computer literate with experience of Premier spa software.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong customer service ethos and ability to deliver consistently high levels of service.
6. Passionate about providing treatments and offering appropriate aftercare to enhance treatment benefits.
