We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled, and experienced children's nurse ( SCPHN /Paediatric Nurse) who is currently in a leadership role with an ambition to be a senior manager.
You will be the professional lead for Hillingdon Children's nursing services working with the Nursing directorate to ensure professional leadership, practice and expertise across teams.
You will be an integral member of the Hillingdon Children's Services leadership Team working alongside colleagues in therapy services and Community Paediatrics to improve the services in Hillingdon .
This exciting role enables you to gain experience in the management and delivery of Children's Nursing services. You will implement and manage systems and processes to ensure that services comply with Trust-wide policies and national/local targets.

The Clinical Service Manager will be expected to deputise and support the Head of Children’s Services in the development, delivery and redesign of Hillingdon community nursing services, ensuring high quality and personalised and accessible services to users. The post holder will be required to manage the delivery of specified clinical services within the children’s services division and for implementing and managing systems and processes to ensure that these services are delivered in accordance with Trust-wide policies and national/local targets/guidance.
As the professional nursing lead for children’s services, the post holder will be expected to work closely with the Head of Children’s Services and Service Director in providing clear nursing professional leadership, practice and expertise across children’s services ensuring that practice is aligned to professional codes of practice across the specialties. The post holder will be expected to engage and empower clinical staff in the provision and management of their services and to use clinical expertise to assess, develop and enhance the quality of service.

The main specific areas of responsibility for this post are:
• Health Visiting, (including infant feeding);
• School Nursing;
• Children’s Community Nursing Team (CCNT)
- Inclusive of, Hillingdon Special School Nursing team and,
- Transition Nurse Specialist - Young People with Complex Health Needs & LAC Leaving Care.
• Liaison with Hillingdon Children Looked After team, through Harrow Clinical Service Manager and Named Nurse for (CLA).
