Overview Working as part of the Credit Control function within the Finance department, you will be responsible for administering and supporting the collections of due amounts to the business, ensuring prompt & timely payments from customers, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and supporting other areas of the Finance department. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, with core hours of 09:00 to 17:00 plus an additional half-hour either before or after these times, including a one-hour lunch break. This role is a 6-month fixed term contract. Wiltshire Farm Foods, our sister company, is the UK's largest ready meal supplier cooking and delivering over 330 different delicious frozen ready meals across the UK. Responsibilities - Day to day administration of the Credit Control and Sales Ledger functions within the Finance department. - Answering telephone calls from customers, responding to their enquiries and providing the information requested in a reasonable and timely manner. - Maintain accurate records of all Credit Control actions taken through the use of our in-house database system. - Monitor customers accounts and undertake all necessary actions required to ensure that all payments are received on-time. - Work in partnership with our customers and other internal departments to ensure that all issues arising from invoices issued are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer in a timely manner. - Allocate incoming BACs, cheque and credit card payments using the appropriate company procedures and resources. - Undertake various aspects of our in-house Direct Debit process including administering the weekly and monthly Direct Debit collections. - Utilising various software packages and processes to ensure that all anti-fraud measures are carried out to the highest standards. - Any other duties deemed relevant for the role. Able to form workable solutions to tasks and problems. - Part or fully AAT qualified. - Previous experience of working within a Purchase or Sales Ledger department or a Credit Control environment. - Experience of working with SAP accounting packages. - Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Access to an advanced level.
