The Gastroenterology service, Clyde Sector of NHS GGC is recruiting a Band 6 for 18.5 hours per week as a Hepatology Clinical Nurse Specialist. The post holder will be based at IRH & RAH sites, whilst providing and contributing to the development of the existing Hepatology and Gastroenterology Service encompassing all three Clyde sector hospitals.
The post-holder will work within a variety of hospital settings including:
* Medical and surgical inpatients

The post holder will be responsible for delivering nurse-led clinics to provide patient education, treatment, and support to patients with a variety of liver diseases. The post holder will be expected to develop skills aligned with clinical assessment and triage, including Fibroscan and large volume paracentesis.
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Following training, the post holder will be expected to work autonomously and prioritize their own workload, whilst contributing to the wider nursing and multi-disciplinary team. You must have a flexible and organized approach and display a passion for delivering quality patient-centered care. Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and staff training is expected.
