Information Manager (Data Quality and Data Standards)
Data Transformation Information Manager in the Information Services department. The successful applicant will enable the organisation to improve, support and maintain services for patients in ensuring that electronically stored data used to support decision making on e.g., WPAS, and other key systems is accurate, valid, reliable, complete, relevant and complies with data standards. As a member of the Data Transformation Team, the Data Transformation Information Manager will support the Information Development Manager and Senior Information Managers. The role will allow you to build on your current skills and experience and provide you with opportunities for personal and professional development. This demanding and challenging post requires excellent analytical, numeracy and organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, hard-working, highly motivated team member.
Main duties of the job
The aim of the Data Transformation Information Manager (DTIM) is to provide a high quality and innovative monitoring and support function to the Health Board. The DTIM will support promoting data standards and quality in key systems across the Health Board and its partner organisations (National WPAS, WCCIS etc. Local CWS). They will support the development of the longer-term Information Transformation Programme and how this aligns to the overarching Informatics and Health Board strategic objectives.
The post holder has a responsibility within the organisation to ensure any data created, edited, used or recorded on Health Board systems and databases is accurate and maintains the highest standards of data quality. This will require attention to detail, strong relationships with colleagues and a developing knowledge of the subject in context to fulfil national reporting requirements.
The post holder will need experience of operational administrative processes and extensive understanding of policy including Referral to Treatment (RTT) Access Policy, WPAS policies, and Data Standards. The role requires WPAS specialist knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure adherence to national standards while promoting best practice and a smarter way of working.
Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
