Responsibilities As the IT Lead Buyer, your responsibilities will include: Working closely with internal teams, including sales, projects, and engineering, to ensure that our customers receive top quality equipment while securing the best value for our business investments. You'll play a crucial role in refining our tender processes and procurement standards. Conducting regular tender exercises and evaluating suppliers to ensure our procurement activities keep us ahead of the competition. This role goes beyond operational tasks; you'll collaborate with senior team members, contributing to strategic projects and refining our procurement approach to align with business goals. Overseeing the delivery of equipment and licenses across a range of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of technology solutions for customers through careful planning and coordination. Partnering with project managers to ensure that our internal teams have the necessary equipment and resources available when needed, facilitating efficient project execution. The ideal candidate would possess the following key skill sets: Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role Procurement and Supply Chain Management Ability to manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from order initiation to delivery. Skills in liaising and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and equipment information. Monitoring and organising inventory levels and maintaining a well-organised storeroom. Experience in organising and coordinating deliveries, returns, and couriers. Project and Task Management Creating and issuing purchase orders and sales invoices accurately and efficiently. Working closely with Project Managers to ensure smooth delivery of equipment to sites. Ability to complete procurement and tender exercises in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinating the movement of deliveries into and out of the office or storage. Communication and Interpersonal Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers. Friendly, approachable demeanour with a can-do attitude, ensuring positive interactions with colleagues and suppliers. Organisational and Time Management Skills Strong attention to detail in managing procurement processes, stock levels, and paperwork. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Technical Skills Familiarity with procurement software, inventory management systems, and general office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office and Exchequer). Accurate data entry skills and the ability to analyse procurement related data for better decision-making. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Ability to resolve issues related to procurement, deliveries, and stock management effectively. Continuously seeking opportunities to improve procurement and inventory processes. These skill sets cover the various aspects of the role, ensuring the person in this role is well equipped to handle all facets of the procurement process. Additional Desirable criteria: Procurement related certifications or industry experience CIPP, or working towards Knowledge/ experience in tender/ procurement frameworks Knowledge/ experience in purchasing IT infrastructure equipment So, who are we?
