About You:
Essential:
* Experience of working with older people and people with cognitive impairment
* Experience of managing a team/leadership skills
* Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience of care of people with long term conditions e.g. neurological, stroke, heart disease, depression and arthritis
* Experience of care home environment
* Knowledge of CQC requirements /Single assessment framework
Desirable:
* Clinical supervision skills
* Experience of managing a large nursing home effectively
* Experienced nurse with current NMC pin number
Job Role:
The Home Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of Foxburrow Grange ensuring the home provides high quality care and support to all our residents, visionary leadership to our workforce whilst meeting financial targets and maintaining regulatory compliance. Leading and inspiring staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred standards of care in line with Outlook Care Values whilst meeting the operational requirements of the contracts, regulatory requirements of CQC as well as evidencing quality of care through Single Assessment Framework. Working proactively with Quality and Governance Leads to deliver a safe service whilst developing positive and sustainable relationships with customers, staff, commissioning teams and other stakeholders. Provide support to the Deputy/Clinical Lead to recruit, retain, and develop the Nursing and Care staff team ensuring that the service is fully resourced through effective deployment.
The Service:
Foxburrow Grange is a 69 bed home with state-of-the-art facilities with an outstanding and friendly team of dedicated staff. The home has been delivering person-centred care for 30 years, is within easy reach of major transport links and close to Colchester town centre. The home comprises of four wings. On the ground floor are 32 bedrooms for residents with dementia, with a further 37 rooms on the first floor for people in need of nursing and/or dementia care.
