Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) - AccringtonContract: Full-Time, Permanent
Job Overview:We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse to work with young people facing complex mental health challenges. The successful RMN will work closely with young people to provide high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled, evidence-based nursing care in line with policies and procedures.
Undertake risk assessments, create care plans, and support young people through the care process.
Advocate for patients in multi-disciplinary teams and help promote independence.
Lead and supervise support workers and student nurses, ensuring high standards of care.
Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
Promote psychological therapies, especially Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, to support long-term recovery.
Encourage reflective practice, continuous learning, and improvement across the team.
Respond to concerns or complaints effectively and in line with organisational policy.
Take an active role in maintaining CQC standards and ensuring compliance.
Maintain NMC registration and engage in revalidation processes.
Clinical Leadership:
Lead by example and ensure adherence to CQC standards.
Provide supervision and regular feedback to support staff development.
Deputise for senior nurses when required, managing shifts and coordinating the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
Experience mental health nursing is desirable.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
