As a member of the Estates and Facilities Projects Team, the post-holder is specifically responsible for bridging the gap between construction and operation, providing leadership and management for the seamless transition of a portfolio of construction projects from completion to client use. Ensuring new build and refurbishment construction projects delivered by the project team are successfully delivered, providing a client-facing focus and acting as the main point of contact for the project team, contractor, and all other project stakeholders; creating strong working relationships with senior colleagues within the Directorate, across the University, and with external associates/partners.
They will be responsible for designing, establishing, and managing new handover and commissioning policies and procedures, providing critical support to project delivery teams to ensure projects are completed and made operational in a timely, effective, and efficient manner. The post-holder will drive transformational change on how project handover and commissioning are administered, managed, and reported.
