What's the Role?
The Fire & Security Service Engineer will be responsible for:
1. Performing planned and reactive service work on a variety of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, sprinklers, and more.
2. Conducting remedial works, system testing, and recording service results to ensure full compliance.
3. Assisting with installations and project work alongside senior engineers and project managers.
4. Collaborating with the service admin team to schedule visits, provide details for quotations, and book remedial works.
5. Opportunities to gain experience in specialist services, including gas and chemical suppression systems, foam suppression, and room integrity testing.
6. Participating in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
What's Needed?
1. Experience in fire protection systems is desirable, but a background in electrical or mechanical engineering will also be considered.
2. Basic IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
3. Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
4. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
