Financial Reporting Assistant Manager

Drawing on our strong relationships with regulators, standard setters and the people in our firm, we provide innovative, practical and robust solutions to auditing and financial reporting matters that support audit engagement teams with the delivery of high-quality audits.

A look into the role
This team primarily assist the audit practice with accounting and corporate reporting related consultations, compliance reviews of annual reports and accounts (ARAs) prior to signing audit reports.
An assistant manager will be responsible for first review of technical accounting queries, hot reviews and facilitating the Audit Helpdesk (reactive work).
You'll need either direct experience or a keen interest in technical accounting and corporate reporting, whilst demonstrating a desire to develop into a knowledgeable and credible accounting and corporate reporting
specialist.
You will keep up to date with technical knowledge related to accounting and corporate reporting requirements and support with audit practice training events.

Joining us as a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is a professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA)
We are looking for someone technically strong who will reach appropriate conclusions on technical matters in consultation with more experienced team members.
You will need a strong understanding of accounting frameworks (UK adopted IFRS and UK GAAP), statutory and other regulatory requirements.
From your experience of working in an audit team, you will be able to adapt your style to best interact with engagement teams from different backgrounds and levels of experience.
