We are a leading independent practice in York, having a significant presence in Yorkshire, as a long established, yet growing accountancy, tax and business advisory firm.
Role overview
The Senior Accounts Executive will be a key member of our Business Services Team.
As a Senior Accounts Executive, your typical daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Preparation and completion of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and companies.
2. Use of Xero, Iris and other accountancy software.
3. Reconciliation of control accounts.
4. Providing book-keeping and VAT support to our clients, assisted by other team members.
5. Supporting junior colleagues with queries.
6. Preparation of management accounts.
7. Dealing with ad hoc queries raised by the client.
8. Keeping the manager informed of any issues that arise with the client.
9. Maintaining and developing technical ability by attending webinars and keeping abreast of technical development.
Person specification / Academic requirements
You will be newly/part ACA/ACCA qualified, with an accountancy background, or a qualified member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.
Working arrangements
The working week: 35 hours per week, to be worked from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
Location: Heritage House, Murton Way, Osbaldwick, York YO19 5UW.
