Senior Quantity Surveyor – Power & Electrical Projects Due to significant growth and new contract wins, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading organisation, based in Edinburgh with site-based responsibilities. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the cost management and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring successful delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction. This role requires extensive experience in power, BESS, substations, and electrical projects, as well as strong leadership and commercial acumen. Key Responsibilities Cost Management Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed project budgets. Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Provide strategic advice on cost planning and procurement to optimise project outcomes.Contract & Procurement Management Manage contract preparation, negotiation, and administration, including variations and disputes. Ensure contractual compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Support project teams with contract-related matters, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Oversee the tendering process, bid evaluations, and subcontractor selection. Negotiate contract terms to secure favourable outcomes.Risk & Performance Management Implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget. Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders. Identify project risks, including cost overruns, delays, and disputes, and develop mitigation strategies.
