Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer
Salary: £45-55k + package (experience dependant)
Type: Perm / full time / Hybrid
Location: Scotland, UK
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship / Applicants must have existing relevant UK Water Sector experience.
About the role:
We’re looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join my clients design team. In this role, you’ll:
* Deliver civil designs for infrastructure projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Handle everything from feasibility to detailed designs for construction
* Supervise junior staff
* Conduct site visits and write reports
* Ensure health and safety standards are met
You’ll work on various infrastructure projects from start to finish. This is a permanent, hybrid position.
What you’ll do:
* Prioritise health and safety in all design work
* Develop designs that meet client requirements and standards
* Supervise and mentor junior team members
* Ensure projects stay on time and within budget
* Help prepare and manage project budgets
* Write and review feasibility studies and reports
* Present engineering solutions to clients
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Check and approve design documents, drawings, and calculations
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in designing infrastructure
* Relevant degree (working towards professional accreditation is a plus)
* Strong computer skills, including MS Office and basic AutoCAD
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work in teams and meet project deadlines
* Client-focused approach to service
* Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement
* Strong focus on health and safety
