Reed have partnered with a Bristol based leading provider of will writing, estate planning, and probate services in the UK, recruiting for a Last Will and Testament Drafter & Proofreader. This role is ideal for a legal professional with strong attention to detail and experience in drafting and reviewing wills and associated estate planning documents. Based in East Bristol with off-street parking close to the office, you will be joining a growing team with a current headcount of 20 staff, that includes long-standing staff who have been with the business 25 years Duties: Draft and review wills, trusts, and estate planning documents with precision and legal accuracy using Willsuite software (Leap). Proofread documents to ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and legal terminology. Ensure compliance with UK wills and probate legislation. Work closely with legal consultants and estate planners to tailor documents to client needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inheritance laws, tax regulations, and estate planning best practices. Liaise with clients when necessary to confirm document details and ensure legal requirements are met. Implement best practices for document formatting, structure, and legal clarity. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations (GDPR). Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff in document drafting and proofreading. Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience in will drafting, legal document preparation, or estate planning. Strong knowledge of UK wills, probate, and inheritance laws. Experience using Willsuite software (Leap) for drafting wills and legal documents. Exceptional proofreading and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to understand and interpret legal language with clarity and precision. Experience using case management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Understanding of LPAs (Lasting Powers of Attorney), trusts, and estate administration is an advantage. Legal qualifications (e.g., CILEX, STEP, LLB, or equivalent experience in will writing) are desirable but not essential.
