Role:
* A member of a small multidisciplined proactive maintenance team, with the ability to work independently or within a team to minimize downtime and execute repairs in a timely manner in a chemical manufacturing site.
* Participate actively in department/plant safety programs and promote safety rules and regulations.
* Investigate and resolve equipment failures, determine root cause of failure, and recommend appropriate solutions to reduce reoccurrence or eliminate the cause of failure.
* Ability to interpret equipment drawings such as loop drawing and line diagrams and other technical information.
* Recommend and specify alterations and revisions to improve equipment requirements and/or system reliability/capacity.
* Complete the PM allocation of all electrical programs on site as per company standards, HSE standards, ATEX Standards, COMAH requirement, and power & distribution systems.
* Keep abreast of and evaluate new methodologies, work practices, equipment, instrumentation, controls, technology, etc., for application and use within the plant.
* Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns, providing technical and hands-on support as required during shutdowns.
* Maintain an error-free execution, paying very close attention to details and executing work to the highest possible standard. Apply a "Continuous Improvement" philosophy to daily work.
* Able to organize and supervise various contractors as required at the site.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum RQF level 3 qualification (e.g., City & Guilds level 3) in a practical Electrical discipline.
* Two (2) years minimum Electrical experience - preferred in ATEX Zone.
* City and Guilds 2391 -52 will be an added advantage.
* Recognized Electrical apprenticeship preferred.
* 18th edition electrical wiring regulations will be an added advantage.
* Compex (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) qualification will be an added advantage.
* SAP experience will be an added advantage.
* Training in MEWP, mobile scaffold & lifting equipment will be an added advantage.
