Electronic Design Engineer
Location: Stockport, Cheshire
Salary: £45-50k

Purpose of the Role:
This company is looking for a talented Electronic Design Engineer to design, develop, and maintain electronic hardware for new and existing product lines. You will play a key role in their product development strategy, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Technical Director and Design Team to achieve project milestones and targets.
* Develop electronic hardware requirement specifications for new and existing products based on project needs.
* Plan and coordinate electronic hardware activities with hardware integration and test teams.
* Design and produce high-quality electronic schematics, architectures, and functional hardware for new products.
* Create detailed supporting documentation for internal use and third-party certification processes.
* Maintain comprehensive electronic design records for all products.
* Test and validate electronic hardware as needed.
* Support production teams during the integration of new product developments into the production facility.
* Develop production test equipment and testing regimes as required.
* Communicate with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to resolve electronic hardware-related product or production issues.
* Manage assigned projects or tasks, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
Key Skills and Requirements:
* Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout, including generating Gerber data for production.
* Experience with STM32 Microcontrollers, including programming and Cube.
* Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub .
* Strong background in EMC design .
* (Desirable) Knowledge of Intrinsically Safe Electronic Design and Certification .
* Competence in C programming (e.g., using IAR Workbench).
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including SharePoint and Office 365.
