About the Team
P&C is responsible for planning, strategizing, and procuring essential components needed to deliver millions of journeys across our network each day, managing a significant £6bn+ spend to ensure the best return on investment and outstanding long-term value.
The Roles
London Trams Background
London Trams is part of the TfL Group and is responsible for the tram network in Croydon, Wimbledon, Beckenham, and New Addington. The P&C team works on operational activities and project works, collaborating with infrastructure maintenance teams and project managers.
Fleet
The Commercial Manager positions focus on pre & post contract management within the P&C team in London Underground Fleet, responsible for procuring and managing high-value, complex supply contracts that contribute to the £500m Central Line Improvement Project (CLIP).
Infrastructure
These roles support the Infrastructure part of Operations, managing a diverse portfolio of categories and driving value for money for TfL.
Key Accountabilities
* Collate customer requirements and specifications, develop procurement strategies, category plans, and specific procurement plans.
* Utilise e-procurement tools to maximise efficiency and control during the procurement process.
* Prepare appropriate forms of contract clarifying price, deliverables, and obligations.
* Identify and reduce potential risks to commercial agreements and supplier performance.
* Manage procurement activities to deliver contracts and frameworks.
* Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking.
* Manage construction, engineering, supply, and service contracts.
* Chair performance meetings with suppliers and agree on improvement plans.
