The AWS Security Assurance Service team, within GSS, is seeking a talented business development lead to connect with and educate internal and external customers on how our product-led, people-powered services help operate their business securely on AWS while also demonstrating assurance that compliance objectives can be achieved. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute at the intersection of cloud, cyber security, and compliance. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple lines of business, and learn from (and contribute to) a variety of security and compliance use cases. This is a customer-facing role where success is measured by positioning solutions that lead to measurable customer impact.
Key job responsibilities
1. Strategic Relationship Management and Pipeline Development
o Develop and nurture strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders across sales, product, and delivery teams.
o Create and execute proactive and reactive business development strategies to generate and expand opportunity pipeline.
o Build comprehensive awareness and enablement of security assurance solutions across internal and external stakeholder networks.
o Develop deep understanding of customer challenges and market dynamics to identify potential business opportunities.
2. Sales Conversion and Customer Engagement
o Transform identified opportunities into bookable customer engagements.
o Conduct comprehensive solution mapping, aligning customer-specific challenges with tailored security assurance solutions.
o Develop and deliver compelling value propositions that demonstrate clear business outcomes.
o Manage and progress sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract closure.
o Collaborate closely with sales teams to support and accelerate deal progression.
3. Go-to-Market Strategy and Expansion
o Lead partner and channel development strategies to diversify and strengthen market penetration.
o Work collaboratively with Product Management to develop scalable security solutions and offerings.
o Design and implement strategic expansion plans for additional EMEA countries.
o Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, potential partnerships, and growth vectors.
o Develop comprehensive market intelligence and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
Preferred Experience
* Proven track record in solution delivery, and/or business development.
* Experience in creating go-to-market strategies.
* Strong background in business development and pipeline generation.
* Expertise in AWS ecosystem.
* Deep understanding of Security Assurance and Compliance frameworks.

AWS Security Assurance Services LLC, a PCI-QSAC (Payment Card Industry-Qualified Security Assessor company) and HITRUST External Assessor Firm, is a team of industry certified assessors, helping our customers achieve, maintain, and automate compliance in the cloud by tying together applicable audit standards to AWS service specific features and functionality.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree.
* Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
* Experience in a professional field or military.
* Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
* 5+ years experience in pre-sales focusing on IT security, IT management, compliance frameworks, identity and access management, information security audit, or the like.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
* Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
