Working with a well-established engineering company who are on the lookout for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team based in Bristol.
This is a multi-purpose mobile (van and site based) role, involving travelling to customers sites anywhere in the UK (and occasionally but rarely outside of the UK) then delivering, installing, maintaining/servicing, de-installing, commissioning or rectifying conveyor systems.
Responsibilities
* Following all client site and health and safety procedures at all times and showing great care towards team members and customers
* Adhering to method statements and risk assessments whenever onsite
* Correctly using all PPE equipment and clothing provided
* Delivery of goods / arrival on site on time and when agreed
* Working closely with clients and their subcontractors ensuring their satisfaction at all times
* Problem solving on site and using own initiative to resolve queries with customers direct
* Providing accurate reports to line management using company procedures on completion of each assignment
* Carefully loading and unloading vehicles in order to best maintain condition of both the vehicle and the equipment being transported
* Carefully maintaining vehicles and cleanliness at all times and adhering to the Company Vehicle Policy
* Obtaining sign-off from customer on completion of each assignment, indicating satisfaction and training customers in the best use and maintenance of the conveyors
* Any other duties which are considered reasonable, including occasional workshop duties if there is limited site work available.
Qualifications & Experience – Field Service Engineer
* Mechanical/electrical installations and repairs experience required – conveyor experience would be advantageous
* Energetic and enthusiastic, with the determination to deliver excellent customer service to our clients in all situations
* Willingness to learn new skills as the role evolves
* Willingness and regular availability for work-away for jobs all over the UK
* Willingness and regular availability for variable shift patterns where customers demand it (for example, night work, weekend work and/or double shifts)
* Excellent practical and mechanical skills with ability to use power tools
* Permits to use and operate powered access equipment and scaffold towers and experience working at height essential
* Full driving license with minimum points
* £29,718 - £34,983 (DOE) based on a 45 hour week (hours can range up to 60 hours dependant on the work which is paid at the standard hourly rate)
* Overtime rate paid at x1.5 after 10 hours within working month
* Working away when required - £75 per night bonus as well as a Premier Inn and meal deal paid for
* Cost of living bonus which is approx. £250 per month once they complete a 3 month probation
