What you’ll be doing:
* Delivery of fire prevention strategies and governance offire protectionsystems
Providing fire risk reduction advice and support to theclient by conducting fire safety audits of construction sites wherethe Construction Design and Management Regulations areapplied Supportfacility projects by reviewing fire strategies, building drawingsand other information as part of the fire safety design of sitebuildings Undertake detailed fire risk assessments on complexbuildings Designand develop building firestrategies
Your skills andexperiences:
Essential:
* Be a competent fire safetyprofessional with a proven track record of delivering appropriateand accurate fire safety advice and guidance for building projectsand have a working knowledge of fire safety design guides includingBS9999 and ADB
* Experience conductingcomplex fire risk assessments, reviewing concept design informationfor new projects and providing detailed fire safety scope ofrequirements, working in an industrialenvironment
Manage all fire safety aspects fromconcept design through all stages of build commissioning, fire riskassessment and handover to theclient Experience in developingretrospective fire strategies for existingbuildings
Desirable:
* Firesafety experience gained from a high hazard engineeringindustry
Professional membership of IFSM or the IFE

The Fire Safety Team: As a Principal Fire Safety Advisor, you will beactively involved in leading on the fire safety design of newmodern buildings and the refurbishment of existing building as partof the site expansion and development programme. You will deliverfire safety solutions and support to the project from conceptdesign through to occupation and operation of the facility. You will work as part of the Fire Safety Team,delivering fire safety solutions to protect life and businessoperations. You will produce, review and develop new and existingfire strategies and fire risk assessments. You will inspect andassure fire safety for construction projects and specific fireprotective elements provided as part of the project as the firesubject matter expert. The role also offers flexibility in working hours andlocation of work with the opportunity to achieve a suitable balancebetween on-site and at homeworking. Why BAE Systems?
