Vehicle Maintenance Technician

What you will enjoy doing
* Undertaking planned & defect maintenance activities for both mechanical and cryogenic systems
* Working as a team ensuring vehicle maintenance is carried out timely and accurately recorded
* Liaising with external maintenance contractors and other bodies e.g. Trucktyre and DAF
* Supporting management with effective recording and allocation of all parts and their costs
* Minimizing vehicle downtime and reacting to peak demands for vehicle availability by working flexibly and innovatively
* Following all safety procedures and playing a key role in the garage & branches safety agenda
* Identifying areas of cost reduction
What makes you great
* Committed to the highest level of safety to support a safety-first workplace
* City & Guilds, NVQ’s or equivalent qualifications in LGV vehicle maintenance
* Holding a LGV (C+E) driving license with knowledge of the LGV tester's manual
* Excellent communication skills and flexibility
* High standard of personal integrity
* Ability to work on your own initiative and take pride in your work
* Desirable: ADR driver's license covering class 2 and/or experience with MAN/DAF vehicles (training provided if needed)
