The opportunity to join our catering team based in Shirebrook will appeal to enthusiastic individuals seeking the next stage of their hospitality career, with an appetite for knowledge and a drive to progress.
We offer an excellent work-life balance, working 40 hours over 4 days with a kitchen close time of 8 pm. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will support the core of the business as it continues to grow. This role will support both the Kitchen and Front of House teams to ensure we deliver the best possible service to our colleagues.
This is a 40-hour week, 4 days over 7, with a kitchen close time of 8 pm.
Key Responsibilities
Profit:
* Support menu development with the Head Chef and Catering Manager to provide healthy, nutritious, and exciting meals that are cost-effective to produce.
* Actively seek customer feedback to ensure food and service options remain relevant and appealing, driving sales and positive reviews.
* Manage stock rotation and support stock management with a focus on reducing waste, ensuring product availability, stock holding, and security.
* Complete daily food safety checks, including allergens and food legislation compliance.
* Understand overall patterns and contribute ideas and feedback to improve offerings.
* Stay updated with market and sector trends for dish content and presentation.
People:
* Assist with all kitchen staff processes, including induction and training, and complete required training courses.
* Support the team through their learning journey.
* Follow all company food safety, health and safety, fire, and security policies.
