F&I Group has an exciting opportunity to join our growing business as a Health & Safety Advisor due to the growth of our business.
The business works across the North East & Yorkshire, focusing on commercial new build, fitout and residential schemes. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the construction industry involving multi disciplined trades.
The role requires a person with a pragmatic approach to safety, someone who is hands on and will assist to overcome and resolve issues.
Responsibilities:
1. Promote a positive safety culture within business.
2. Liaising with department heads and site staff communicating with all parties involved in the project.
3. Reviewing and maintaining systems for the company and recommending improvements.
4. Attending design, project and employee consultation meetings.
5. Assist in the production of Risk Assessments, Pre-Construction Information and Construction Phase Plans.
6. Conduct safety inspections of sites and office premises including monthly reporting.
7. Conduct accident and incident investigations.
8. Deliver company inductions and in-house training.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 12 months experience in HSE role.
2. Understanding of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015, and other associated H&S legislation.
3. NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety.
4. Previous experience of working in the construction industry.
5. Excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills.
6. Full UK driving license.
7. Training delivery qualification preferable.
