My client is a public service organisation that acts as a regulator across the UK for a specific field. Due to a change over of duties within the organisation, my client is seeking an efficient Executive Assistant to support their CEO on a 12 month Fixed Term basis.
Your new role
Working on a 1-2-1 basis with a newly appointed CEO, you will be the first point of contact for any enquiries regarding the CEO's diary and availability. Working proactively, you will be managing a complex, ever-changing diary that has internal and external demands both from organisational and political standpoints. Using your forward-looking lens, you will be adept at horizon scanning to ensure optimal availability. As a key support for the CEO, you will ensure they are adequately prepared for meetings, seminars or public speaking by researching topics and creating documents. Your duties will see you respond to enquiries on behalf of the CEO where appropriate, and your quick judgement will enable you to identify tasks which need CEO input & authorisation. You will be responsible for a lot of logistical planning for the CEO and for the coordination of meetings inclusive of travel, room bookings, accommodation, and events. You will have general administration responsibility such as expenses also.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a truly exciting role, and will see an EA with C-Suite experience that thrives in busy and challenging environments succeed. You will be a quick thinker, that is able to problem solve and able to react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently whilst remaining calm and collected. You will have outstanding communication skills both in written and verbal formats, and be confident dealing with senior individuals internally, and with external stakeholders, including parliamentary individuals, on a regular basis. Used to managing and triaging busy and demanding inboxes, you will be able to work at pace with impeccable attention to detail! A proactive individual, you will be on the front foot with duties and always have the reputation of the organisation at the forefront of your mind.
