Summary The WOCN Clinical Nurse Coordinator coordinates and provides consultative and direct clinical care services for ostomies, fistulae, tubes, dermal wounds, and incontinence care. Evaluates patient outcomes, identifies populations at risk and proposes solutions. Provides education services for nursing, medical, and allied health staff and consumers related to ostomies and wounds. Provides consultation to all levels of nursing and physician patient care stakeholders. Assists in research activities aimed at improving clinical services and patient outcomes. Minimum Education Graduate of approved school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum Work Experience Two years of clinical experience preferred, Leadership or nursing education experience preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications Licensed in the State of Vermont. CWOCN Certification (or required within 1 year of hire). BLS Certification through American Heart Association. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities WOCN clinical nursing knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care. Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Ability to assess and interpret data regarding the patient's status to determine the appropriate plan of care. Leadership skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Intermediate Microsoft desktop application skills (i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Pay Range $35.36 - $56.50
