Full Job Description:
As a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be working across the Northwest and North Wales areas, providing expert service and maintenance across various sectors, including Healthcare, Education, Local Authorities, and the Public Sector. Your responsibilities will include performing planned service works, reactive maintenance, and leak testing on a wide range of equipment, such as chilled and frozen storage, air handling units, cooling tunnels, ice machines, and air conditioning systems.
You will ensure that all systems are running efficiently and reliably, delivering high-quality service to maintain critical environments such as healthcare facilities, schools, and public buildings. You will work with a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards, and contributing to the smooth operation of essential refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Responsibilities & Activities:
1. Conduct planned maintenance, service, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
2. Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
3. Install and commission new refrigeration and air conditioning units as required.
4. Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
5. Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to clients regarding work undertaken.
6. Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
7. Cover a designated area within the UK, with potential for emergency callouts and occasional overnight stays.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 10 years relevant experience
2. F-Gas Certification (e.g., City & Guilds 2079 or CITB)
3. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
4. City & Guilds 2079 Award in F-Gas and ODS Regulations
5. Experience working with hydrocarbon refrigerants
6. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable)
7. CSCS Card (desirable for site work)
8. Full UK Driving License
