They supply into the chilled and frozen retail, food service and food manufacturing sectors from their production base in Craigavon. Report to the Technical Manager you will be a key part of the factory team, ensuring technical integrity in all areas. What a typical day as Technical Assistant will look like: To work with the Technical Manager in all relevant Technical and QA areas. Help company maintain BRC accreditation and ensure site is compliant with BRC standard Help Technical Manager to ensure company maintains other relevant accreditations at the time, such as RSPO, Red Tractor and Bord Bia. Help ensure site is compliant with Tesco Food Standard and additional relevant modules. To liaise with customers and suppliers regarding any quality or food safety issues. To work with the Production Manager to ensure that all production activity and work practices meet the standards required. Working with Customers / Statutory Bodies, implementation of legislation and customer standards. during factory visits and audits, providing formal responses. Work closely with production and stores departments to drive improvement in technical standards and performance. Ensure that all QA related paperwork is completed, recorded and filed accurately Understand the role of technical Manager and to cover this area in the event of absence or holiday. Analysis of microbiological and chemical results/ trends and reporting any out of specification results to the Technical Manager. To set a good example and encourage others to follow. Ensuring relevant personnel are trained and following procedure regarding Identification, segregation and maintaining traceability of Bord Bia MPQAS raw materials and products through intake, storage, production and dispatch. Ensuring the site is compliant with the Bord Bia MPQAS Standard.
