This is an exciting time at the Trust as we continue to embed the new patient safety incident response framework (PSIRF). This supports a significant shift in the way the NHS responds to patient safety incidents. PSIRF supports the development and maintenance of an effective patient safety incident response system that integrates four key aims:
• Compassionate engagement and involvement of those affected by patient safety incidents
• Application of a range of system-based approached to learning from patient safety incidents
• Considered and proportionate responses to patient safety incidents
• Supportive oversight focused on strengthening response system functioning and improvement (quality improvement)
The Patient Safety & Engagement Coordinator role is crucial in the facilitation and implementation of this strategy and will focus on supporting the Patient Safety and Learning Leads in investigations and the wider divisions across the hospital.
Please note that we are not able to offer sponsorship for this role.
