WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON As the UK Technology Program Director you are a Senior Leader within the new DC build organisation with responsibility for leading the tracks covering all the Technology aspects for a brand-new Distribution Centre. The ambition is clear: to build an innovative omni-channel DC encompassing the best innovation, automation and design. The role requires effective and positive relationship building with internal Technology and Business partners as well as with our Technology vendors to define, design and implement the best solutions supporting the Logistics and Supply Chain processes. The accountability will touch a very wide array of Technology functions and Products like Warehouse Management Solutions, Warehouse Control Solutions, Technology Infrastructure, Technology Operations, Enterprise Data & Analytics, Multi-Node-, Logistics- ,Customs- and Transportation solutions, ERP and Platform Integration. Close collaboration with the Enterprise and Principle Architects, Technical Product Managers and Engineering teams will be key to make it all happen in an integrated and problem free environment. This will involve a solid understanding of different Technology domains, their interdependencies and the ability to align Technology, Business, Local and Global teams to help create the future. You play a meaningful role as a Senior Leader within the Program leadership team where you will work closely with Program leaders to bring the Nike’s vision to life. This wider team is a high energy, delivery focused team responsible for all technology programs across different functional domains in EMEA. The UK Technology Program Director will run large programs across several functions and or domains – specifically focussed on ensuring successful opening of the UK DC, the first large distribution centre in the UK for NIKE. This role will closely work with all relevant technology domain leaders and teams, Architects, Technical Product Managers and Engineering teams, located across the world. Business engagement and business understanding is crucial to the success of the program, so close collaboration with the key business partners is a must. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate should have strong end-to-end program management experience within a complex technology organisation, proven organizational and team leadership skills. The ability to influence and build positive working relationships across a matrixed organization combined with ease of switching between managing senior level stakeholders to detailed functional design conversations to risk mitigation management. Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience in program management with proven ability in managing larger cross-discipline technology programs in a complex logistics/supply chain environment Experience in designing, building and improving complex processes through automation and innovation with international, cross-functional teams A passion to deliver world-class experiences and products to all athletes Demonstrated ability that reflects a bias towards action and delivering outsized results Leadership and influencing expertise with senior stakeholder across functions to align strategy, roadmap and priorities for product and platform Comprehensive understanding of release management practices, Waterfall/Agile software development methodologies and domain specific best practices Ability to develop programs and deliver them with financial and resource constraints Relentless in understanding customer needs / requirements and synthesizing insight through evaluating data, analytics, and user input Strategic in setting prioritization of the program activities while being pragmatic in delivering incremental and continuous value Comfortable working in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Note: This role is based in the UK and requires significant travel to Nike’s ELC (Distribution Centre in Belgium) and occasionally to EHQ. Relocation support is not available for this role.
