Department: Location: Home based, UK Reports to: Hours: 37.5 per week Salary: (Depending on experience) Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Executive to lead the expansion of our co-funded Skills Bootcamp offering within employer organisations. This is a pivotal role for executing growth strategies by engaging businesses, demonstrating the tangible value of Skills Bootcamps, and helping employers bridge critical skills gaps in digital, technical, and leadership areas. You will work across sectors to build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders, leveraging insights and a consultative approach to deliver customised training solutions Key responsibilities: Proactive Business Development: Take ownership of developing and executing strategic outreach plans to engage new employer organisations. Build a robust pipeline of opportunities by identifying potential clients and presenting tailored solutions aligned to their business needs. Proactively engage through outreach methods, industry events, and market insights to secure new business. Engage with grant awarding bodies to support the expansion of current skills bootcamps contracts Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and deepen relationships with senior stakeholders, aligning our Skills Bootcamp and broader Cambridge Spark offerings with their organisational goals. Conduct consultative discussions to uncover client challenges and craft tailored value propositions. Collaborate closely with the Department for Education (DfE) and regional contract managers to ensure alignment with funding criteria and sector priorities. Strategic Account Growth: Collaborate with existing Sales colleagues to ensure a cohesive outreach to existing clients Align the sales approach with broader organisational objectives, building long-term partnerships. Act as an advocate for Skills Bootcamps, championing their role in delivering tangible ROI and workforce transformation. Persuasive Communication: Develop compelling proposals, business cases, and presentations tailored to client needs and challenges. Articulate the benefits of co-funded training solutions in addressing skills gaps, enhancing productivity, and driving organisational success. Collaborate with marketing to create impactful outreach materials. Collaboration and Delivery Alignment: Partner with delivery, customer success, and programme management teams to ensure a cohesive client experience from initial engagement through programme delivery. Gather and share client feedback to refine our offerings and maintain alignment with market needs. Planning and Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed account plans, outlining objectives, timelines, and specific actions to drive growth. Regularly update CRM systems with accurate sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress. Monitor performance metrics and deliver insights to enhance strategy and outcomes. Candidate Specification: Essential Qualifications and Experience: Proven success in SME or mid-market B2B sales, business development with a track record of securing and expanding client relationships. Proven success in tailored cold calling / outbound for personal pipeline generation Exceptional ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, presenting solutions that align with organisational priorities. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of government-funded training programmes or the ability to quickly learn and apply complex funding mechanisms. Utilisation of MEDDICC/MEDDPICC and other enterprise sales methodologies Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office applications, and data management. Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Experience selling technology, digital or EdTech solutions to executives in Mid-market or Large Enterprises Experience selling government-funded initiatives, training, or educational programmes. Familiarity with Skills Bootcamp funding structures, employer contributions, and compliance requirements. A network of employer contacts within high-demand sectors, such as digital, technical, and green skills. Key Competencies: Strategic thinker with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
