Job Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Accountant to join us on a fixed-term contract until July 2025!
Due to an exciting period of business growth, we are seeking a talented Project Accountant who will support the financial workstream of the safe transfer of services for a go-live on 1 April 2025.
You will report to the Senior Finance Business Partner to assist in the successful delivery of financial and commercial aspects of our new Bath and North Somerset, Wiltshire & Swindon (BSW) contract which provides adult and children's community health care services to the population of BSW.
This full-time role offers a hybrid working model, with a mix of homeworking and working at St Martin's Hospital, Bath.
This role requires a driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
Main Responsibilities
As Project Accountant, you will:
* Record, forecast and report mobilisation costs.
* Provide support to the Due Diligence process, including analysis, interpretation and reporting of information.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks.
* Support the build of cost-centre structures and report and approve hierarchy.
* Lead on budget build taking account of findings from due diligence.
* Support processes for cutover e.g. asset transfer, suppliers, customers, property, treasury.
* Support with costings for sub-contracts and service level agreements - revenue and expenditure.
* Support with implementing key control processes and training of systems e.g. Proactis, our ordering platform.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will:
* Be minimum AAT qualified with extensive experience in a similar role.
* Have experience of projects.
* Be an advanced Microsoft Excel user.
* Be fully IT literate, able to adopt new systems with ease.
* Have a driving license and access to a car.
* Exhibit a positive attitude and ability to work in a team.
* Have the ability to prioritise and work under pressure of tight deadlines.
* Possess NHS/Care sector experience.
