Our client has a great reputation in the industry and is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and flexible team manager for the role.
The role reports into the Service Manager, and the main parts of the role include:
Managing a team of 3 Hire Controllers in a fast-paced customer service environment
Drive and motivate the team to meet objectives.
Deal with personnel issues.
Take responsibility for query resolution and prevention.
Liaise with depots to ensure that plant is available.
Monitor the team's performance to ensure the customers on hire/off hire/exchange/breakdown requests are dealt with efficiently and effectively and in line with their agreements.
Identify training requirements.
Hands on role, so you will have involvement in equipment sales and hires.
Dealing with customer site enquiries over the phone and via emails, arranging the on and off hire of machinery.
Chasing up on quotes or enquiries to maximise business and gain new opportunities
This role offers progression to move into more senior leadership positions
Requirements
Minimum of 2-3 years team management experience in fast paced customer service environment
Strong IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
Hire desk management experience is desirable but not essential
