Job Description
The Guideline Management & Control (GMC) department are instrumental to LGIMs investment governance and oversight processes, and play a key role in defining firm wide standards, independent of geographic location and covering all investment strategies of LGIM and LGIMA.
The GMC function is responsible for creating client guidelines which are then used for the interpretation and capturing of each client’s requirements on a central database. Those requirements are then coded into LGIM’s Global Trade compliance platform (provided by Charles River Development) where possible and, where not possible, off-platform controls are created instead. The output from the controls is then reviewed to ensure all funds are managed according to their relevant guidelines.
What you'll be doing:
* Overseeing the review and approval of coding for Fund Launches and Amendments carried out by the Coding team, ensuring that all coding complies with defined quality control processes
* Overseeing the outsourcing of Coding at SST, performing due diligence of SST processes and approval of work SST perform on our behalf
* Ensuring workflow is managed within agreed timelines
* Identifying training needs and support team members to self-train and cross-train where there are knowledge and behaviour gaps to effectively support the internal teams
* Leading client meetings/calls if required, articulating how client objectives can be achieved taking into consideration business/SST constraints
* Proactively developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders
* Defining, developing and delivering processes to ensure that a consistent, acceptable level of client service is provided and that action is taken to reduce the causes of errors, in line with our Treating Customers Fairly Policies
* Managing, motivating and developing employees at all levels, in a manner that is consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures the including Partnership Agreement, to maximise the performance of the area
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
* Qualifications: IMC or IOC are desirable.
* Relevant industry experience in operations within Asset Management
* Strong overall investment and product structure knowledge
* Working in or with a range of asset management functions such as legal, compliance, risk functions, cash/collateral management performance
* Strong People Management Skills, driving culture and L&G behaviours
