Job Description: What you will do as the Training Specialist: Reporting to the Training Lead, this role will be pivotal in developing end-to-end training solutions that comply with Leonardo internal process and the Customer's required training standards. Key responsibilities include: Training Analysis Analyse the Training Requirements to ensure course objectives meet the Customer's needs. Perform detailed training analysis, and be able to articulate the outcomes in accordance with the Customer's required training standard. Training Design/Development Create modern training solutions that consists of engaging, accurate and informative courseware that motivates course participants to achieve the desired training outcomes. Develop course schedules that cater for a wide range of abilities, from basic to advanced level of SIGINT and/or IT users. Develop formative and summative assessments to evaluate student performance. Deliver Training Support training delivery i.e. train the end user, field service engineers etc. Conduct student assessments. Assist with the evaluation and feedback process, ensuring continuous improvement of courses. Maintain and update course materials to reflect changes in policies, procedures, and technology. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with the Customer, suppliers, and SMEs to ensure the training product is optimal, and meets the anticipated time, quality and cost objectives. Where required, provide SME knowledge during events, such as internal and external meetings, and Design Reviews. Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues. Continuous Professional Development Participate in ongoing professional development to improve teaching effectiveness, technical expertise, and instructional skills. Attend internal and external training sessions and workshops to stay current on trends in SIGINT and training delivery. What we need from you: To be successful in this role, you really must have: Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience of teaching in adult education, with a recognised qualification (e.g. CTTLS, CertEd, AET Level 3). Demonstrable experience of performing Training Needs Analysis (TNA), and developing courses for military, Defence organisations, or in a further education setting. Broad understanding of SIGINT (Communications Intelligence (COMMINT) or Electronic Intelligence (ELINT)) related disciplines. Working knowledge of IT Networking concepts, such as Networking Models, IP Addressing and Network Protocols. Demonstrable experience of administering physical IT networks and performing routine IT tasks, including account management, log file analysis, and scheduling backups. Advanced user of standard Microsoft Office products. Excellent presentation skills. Able to explain complex concepts with confidence. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. To be successful in this role, it would be nice if you had: Desirable Experience: Working knowledge of virtualisation technologies, such as VMware’s vSphere, ESXi Hypervisor and vSAN. A recognised assessing qualification, at a minimum of Level 3, or equivalent. Proficiency with video editing software, such as Camtasia. Basic knowledge of cryptography. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital tools used in course development and delivery. While military experience is beneficial, we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including those with experience in Defence, education, or corporate training.
