Weekly rotating shift pattern – 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday. 2pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 6pm on a Friday. Whilst training the hours will be 8am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm on Friday.
Responsibilities
* Inspect and manage the machine to guarantee the production of high-quality products.
* Understand various job needs by learning different job types, assessing the needs of each job & organizing job sequence.
* Maintain production quality by inspecting all produced materials carefully to identify any errors and correct them to prevent client dissatisfaction.
* Ensure that equipment is always in good shape by taking preventive maintenance measures and following manufacturer’s maintenance tips.
* Take malfunctioning equipment for repairs and liaise with the engineering team about new maintenance and operation techniques.
* Inspect all equipment and materials to ensure that they are not in shortage and raise any issues with the production team leader.
What are you going to do
* Set die cutting machine, inserting die tooling into the machine and ensuring all creases and waste are stripped to company standards.
* Monitor and fine-tune machine running speeds to maintain efficiencies and achieve targets.
* Report to Team Leader & design team regarding any tooling damages or upgrades/replacements required.
* Perform weekly routine maintenance, cleaning down the machine, and working with the engineering team to grease and replace any worn parts.
* Learn and operate other process lines & machines such as folder gluers and printers when requested as part of the company's training and development plans.
* Exhibit excellent attention to detail.
* Be a team player – prepared to help others.
* Experience within the packaging industry is required.
* Forklift driving experience is advantageous due to multi-skilled work available.
