Position: Senior Civil Engineer (Contract Role)

Rate: £22-£39/hr (Inside IR35)
Location: Dounreay Site
Travel & Subsistence: £75 per day for candidates traveling beyond commuting distance to the Dounreay site.
Overview:
The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer for a leading Nuclear project at the Dounreay Site.
Job Purpose:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Dounreay Low-Level Waste Disposal Facility within Site Services. The role involves managing and delivering the engineering requirements of the disposal facility in accordance with the Environmental Safety Case.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage technical engineering strategies, plans, and procedures.
* Create and implement a delivery strategy for the engineering and safety case, adapting plans as necessary to accommodate changes.
* Apply health, safety, environmental, and waste management processes to operational and engineering activities, consulting specialists when needed.
* Validate the completion of tasks to ensure compliance with procedures, legislation, and quality standards.
* Collaborate with and support the D3100 Design Authority.
* Establish and maintain Design Authority arrangements.
* Develop a strong technical team to deliver fit-for-purpose engineering design and safety project execution, supporting the Site Performance Plan.
* Undertake the duties of Temporary Works Coordinator.
* Support the Project Manager and Facility Operations team as required.
* Manage staff as a Line Manager.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Extensive civil engineering design and site experience.
* Strong understanding of the supply chain and knowledge of CDM Regulations.
* Familiarity with NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, ideally with NEC Project Manager accreditation.
* Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification meeting Engineering Council Standards for Incorporated Engineers.
