As a Vice President, Product Designer within the Salt Design System team, you will play a pivotal role in the progression of our design framework. Your proficiency in developing intricate design systems will be crucial in creating top-notch components and patterns for desktop, web, and mobile applications. Leveraging your understanding of design tokens and multi-brand systems, you will ensure our products are visually attractive, adaptable, and unified.
Job Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the evolution of the Salt Design System by defining, designing, and enhancing high-quality components and patterns for desktop, web, and mobile applications.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement high-quality design components and patterns.
* Utilize your strong knowledge of design tokens to style components effectively and maintain consistency across the system.
* Be a brand ambassador, ensuring alignment with J.P. Morgan brand style guides.
* Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on design solutions, ensuring they meet business and user needs.
* Stay abreast of the latest design trends and Figma features, leveraging them to enhance the design system and its consumer resources.
* Analyze market trends, gather feedback from user research, and learn from data insights to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
* Significant experience and expertise in product design or similar roles.
* Proven experience in creating and managing complex design systems for enterprise organizations.
* Strong knowledge of WCAG accessibility principles.
* Strong familiarity with brand style guides and experience working on multi-brand systems.
* In-depth knowledge of design tokens and their application in styling components.
* Proficiency in Figma, with confidence in using its latest features and capabilities.
* Demonstrated ability to create visually stunning designs with an established design system.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
* Experience in designing for mobile platforms.
