Intermediate Structural Engineer Leeds £32,000 - £38,000 (Dependent on experience) 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Norse Consulting are looking to hire a Design/Intermediate Structural Engineer to play and active role in the production of high-quality structural engineering designs in the education, housing, leisure and commercial sectors. The role would suit a pre-Chartered graduate engineer of minimum 2-4 years post-graduate experience who is looking to development their design skills and experience and they move toward Chartered status, with full support from senior colleagues to achieve that offered. In collaboration with the Associate Structural Engineer and the Engineering Director, this position is responsible for the structural analysis and design of projects within both 2D and 3D environments, the production of drawings, sketches and specifications, and to take a lead role in the cross-discipline coordination of projects with architectural and building services engineering colleagues. Experience and a desire to develop skills in designing and coordinating projects within a 3D modelling space is required. The successful candidate will be given opportunities to develop and grow quickly into areas of greater responsibility and leadership where appropriate desire and skills lead. Main Responsibilities: Liaise with the structural engineering team to plan workload and resource. Completion of structural engineering design to agreed quality, cost and time targets. Develop cross discipline project coordination with architectural and building services engineering design colleagues Support the delivery of high quality management and delivery of projects and programmes to the required quality, cost and agreed timescales. Achieve successful client relationships and ensure clients receive sound professional advice. Maintain good quality project files and records; update systems and financial reports. Responsible for identifying new business opportunities. Fee earning at 90%, and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets. This role requires frequent travel to other offices and sites as required. Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post. Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards. Demonstrate personal commitment to the Norse Way CSR strategy.
