Gleeson Recruitment Group is currently working with an organisation based in Birmingham, who have the requirement to recruit a hybrid temporary Payroll Accountant.
As Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance with the record to report financial processing and reviewing for UK payroll financial entries.
What will the Payroll Accountant role involve?
* Reviewing and processing financial transactions and data for payroll.
* Calculation of monthly payroll-related accruals.
* Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Review and production of regular standardised financial performance reports.
* Investigating financial queries arising from the process and working with finance business partners to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
* Preparation and amendments to detailed process notes and ensuring these are updated regularly.
* Responding to queries from auditors and finance colleagues and supporting process improvements to ensure the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
* Ensuring strong communication between the transactional payroll team and UK Finance Business Partners.
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Accountant vacancy:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or part-qualified/qualified by experience.
* A team player.
* Must have a good understanding of UK pay and payroll related accounting.
* Excellent Excel skills and experience of managing large data sets.
* Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively, with experience of meeting tight month-end deadlines and working under pressure.
* Strong communication skills.
