Job Description:
Capital Group seeks bright, highly motivated, and self-directed individuals to join our team. As an Equity Trading Quantitative Analyst based in London, you will analyze Capital’s equity trading activities, focusing on trading costs of various strategies, and conduct research on equity market structures.
This role requires deep knowledge of equity market trading and structure. The analyst will provide analysis on trading activities related to strategies, costs, and execution, and research market characteristics for trading and investment teams. The position is part of a five-member team but will be the sole analyst in London focused on EMEA markets, acting as the local subject matter expert.

You will provide both quantitative and qualitative analysis of trading activities, collaborate with trading and investment professionals, and understand algorithmic and manual execution strategies to communicate effectively with traders and counterparties.
You will utilize various tools and skills to develop reports and visualizations, stay updated on industry trends, and build strong relationships internally and externally.

Requirements include 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in execution consulting, electronic sales, transaction analysis, or trading infrastructure development. Strong communication skills, understanding of market structure and trading rules for EMEA, experience with transaction cost analytics, and data handling skills are essential. Familiarity with tools such as R, Python, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, AWS, and Databricks is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate sound judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required.
